This day-long program offers live case demonstrations, a series of engaging lectures, and hands-on stations focused on the management of a wide range of gastroenterological disorders. In addition to interacting with clinicians during advanced therapeutic procedures in up-close detail on the large screen, this course will address indications, best practices, and proper use of novel treatments for hepatitis C, inflammatory bowel disease, sedation during colonoscopy and EGD, fatty liver disease, esophagitis, achalasia, Barrett’s esophagus and obesity. A special break-out session for nurses focuses on the nursing role in therapeutic endoscopy and GI emergencies.

Designed for gastroenterologists, internists, primary care providers, and GI nurses, this course will examine new developments in gastroenterology and hepatology, specifically brand new information and cutting-edge techniques that busy clinicians can apply in their practices every day.

Teaching methods include observation of live therapeutic procedures, lectures, case discussion and hands-on practice.

This course is appropriate for gastroenterologists, internists, primary care providers, GI fellows, residents, GI nurses and general, hepatobiliary, and esophageal surgeons who wish to update their knowledge and become familiar with new information and advanced therapeutic techniques.
