Overview

This comprehensive course examines current evidence in pelvic health and practical strategies for empowering patients with complex pelvic health conditions. Facing these often chronic conditions can feel overwhelming for both patients and healthcare providers. We will provide insight, and tips and tricks from various multi-disciplinary perspectives.

We will also explore how health and wellness coaching can empower patients in pelvic health, examining the supporting evidence and its practical application. Then join Virginia Mason specialty subject experts as they provide evidence-based management strategies for commonly challenging scenarios such as recurrent UTI's, patient-directed constipation/fecal incontinence management, colorectal surgical approaches, chronic pelvic pain, endometriosis and more. A panel of pelvic health patients will also share their wisdom, discussing what has empowered them throughout their chronic illness journeys.

Teaching methods include lecture, Q&A with faculty, panel discussion, and case presentations.
