Objectives
  1. Identify the importance of practicing evidence-based medicine principles at Virginia Mason
  2. Select search tools and "favorite" appropriate EBM resource sites on VNet
  3. Utilize a patient case or clinical scenario to practice and demonstrate competency for online searches
  4. Integrate concepts to form a clinical question and use rapid search methodology to navigate medical, pharmacological and lay literature sites
  5. Evaluate evidence for treatment (strength of evidence) and describe method to find answers for clinical questions using vetted online resources (appraised, verified, or highly validated)
