Overview
Virginia Mason is a recognized leader across the spectrum of colorectal cancer care. This symposium aims to present the latest updates in the field for an audience that spans the cancer care continuum. Broad categories of learning include disparities and high-value screening controversies, personalization management of advanced disease, and cancer survivorship. Attendees will review indications for long-course versus short-course radiation, neo-adjuvant therapy and surgery. Screening, surgical, and multi-modality trials will be highlighted. The overall objective of the course is to demonstrate the benefits of multidisciplinary care — nuanced decision making, latest trials, and individualized care as offered at a Center of Excellence.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

  1. Detect disparities in colon cancer screening
  2. Review population-based rationale for screening guideline updates
  3. Consider pertinent genetics for colorectal cancer screening
  4. Integrate strategies for high-value screening in colorectal cancer
  5. Review indications for long-course versus short course radiation
  6. Assess and identify appropriate candidates for neoadjuvant therapy for colon cancer
  7. Review management of carcinomatosis in colorectal cancer
  8. Identify and integrate important patient priorities in survivorship into treatment plans
  9. Consider functional outcomes after surgery and radiation
  10. Detect patient and tumor factors associated with treatment success

Tuition: $145.00

Online registration will be open through Wednesday, July 14. For registration assistance, call the CME department at 206.341.0142.
